She has worked as a therapist in highly successful treatment programs for persons struggling with concurrent disorders combined with addictions.

Her passion for the work of counselling and her respect for those with the courage to make the journey to wellness arise from her own familial and personal experience on this path. She combines a warm and caring presence with well-honed therapeutic skills in the addiction philosophy known as "carefrontation" used to break through layers of denial and resistance.

She has also done extensive study and training in, and makes practical use of her skills as a trained Expressive Arts Therapist as a way to help clients further deepen their personal growth and healing. Her approach includes intense, in-depth self-reflection and introspection in a person-centred psychological approach. She incorporates a blend of conventional and alternative approaches, drawing upon a variety of styles and techniques to incorporate what will be most helpful for each client. With sensitivity and compassion, she works with each client to help them rebuild their lives.

She speaks of the profound privilege witnessing the lasting changes she has observed in many peoples' lives as a result of their treatment and self-exploratory experience. Megan is a member in good standing of the Canadian College of Counsellors and Psychotherapists, the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association, and Canadian Addiction Counselling Certification Federation.

"Recovery from any mental health, emotional or addiction condition should not be a "life sentence" that one is meant to merely endure - living each day terrified of relapse. Recovery is an opportunity for immense personal and spiritual growth, and a time of profound self-reflection leading to renewed vigor, vitality, fulfillment and joy in life!"
