After completing his Bachelors in Science from GND University, Dr. Harrad joined MBBS at Medical College in Faridkot (1979-1985). He migrated to Canada in 1985. From 1987 to 1990 worked as a Medical Officer at various cottage hospitals in Newfoundland, Canada.

In 1990 he joined the Residency Program in Psychiatry at the Clarke Institute of Psychiatry; University of Toronto received FRCP in Psychiatry in 1995. From 1995 to 1997 finished research residency and fellowship and Sub-Specialty in Dual Disorders.

He worked as Staff Psychiatrist at WMHC with Ministry of Health Ontario in 1997, and soon after was appointed as Senior Program Psychiatrist and Head of Department for Dual Disorders, Neuropsychiatry and Psychotherapy.

Dr. Harrad enjoys a national reputation among the top best physicians of Canada in his area of expertise in Dual Disorders. Because of his significant contribution in the field his name was chosen for International Who's Who in 1999 (Vol-2, Page 1664).

He is a member of the International Congress on Dual Disorders, National Association of Dual Diagnosis, Canadian Medical Assoc., member of Royal College of Canada, College of Physicians and Surgeons of B.C. and Ontario. Examiner for LMCC exam of Medical Council of Canada.

In the year 2000, Dr. Harrad was appointed as Medical Director and Psychiatrist of ACT at York County Hospital, Ontario.

In the year 2001, Dr. Harrad moved from the Province of Ontario to British Columbia, where at present he is enjoying working with the Ministry of Health, as well as having private practice in General Psychiatry and Dual Disorders.
